Canon 2913 |
|
|
Annunciation is one of the twelve (12) Life Sacraments. Annunciation is granted and administered exclusively to an expectant mother and their living unborn child according to these canons and associated approved liturgy upon evidence of pregnancy from the 50th day to before birth. |

Canon 2914 |
|
|
It is a historic human tradition to celebrate the announcement of pregnancy and wish the safe passage of the baby to full term. |
|

Canon 2915 |
|
|
Annunciation is the celebration at the announcement of a pregnancy to a family and the community. It is also a time to pray to the ancestors, earth and UCA that the baby is safe and in good health. The meaning of the word is literally the passage from one form or state to another. |

Canon 2916 |
|
|
Whether or not the embryo and the fetus successfully is delivered to full term, it is recognition of the birth of a unique human awareness that needs the support of those that love us. |
