  Article 199–Dialogue  
  Canon 2673  
  Dialogue or "Collocution" is the second of seven (7) types of Rhetoric. It is a Form of speech characterized by a spoken conversation between two or more individuals.  
  Canon 2674  
  The word Dialogue comes from διάλογος (dialogos) meaning “conversation, colloqium” itself derived two words of ancient Greek being διά (dia) meaning “through, inter” and λόγος (logos) meaning “speech, oration, discourse”.  
  Canon 2675  
  The word Collocution comes from the Latin colloquor meaning "conversation, colloqium, dialogue, conference".  
  Canon 2676  
  Dialogue is the only form of Rhetoric that is both a form of Logic as a formal method of Dialectic as well as a method of persuasion.
