Article 137-Power |
Canon 2849 |
Power is the competence, strength and control of a member or official of a particular Religion or Cult to coerce or influence another to a course of action. |
Canon 2850 |
Power is not the same as authority, as power refers to the possession of one or more tools of influence and enforcement, while authority refers to both influence and position by lawful appointment. Hence, a member of a Religion or Cult may be powerful without lawful appointment. |
Canon 2851 |
As all legitimate persons, aggregates and entities derive their power from the Divine in accordance with the sacred Covenant Pactum De Singularis Caelum, no Religion or Cult may claim sole power over the planet Earth, nor any other planet or solar system or galaxy. |
