Canon 2845 |
|
|
Authority is the ability and power of a member or official of a Religion or Cult to influence or enforce the behaviour of others through given advice, opinion or command by lawful appointment. Hence, authority may be distinguished by two types being Personal Authority and Positional Authority. |

Canon 2846 |
|
|
The extent of authority of a member or official of a Religion or Cult only extends to the limits of Jurisdiction of the Religion or Cult in accordance with these canons. |

Canon 2847 |
|
|
Personal Authority is the personal skills of a lawful appointment to a position to influence others without the need to apply power or any coercive force. |
|
|
|
Canon 2848 |
|
|
Positional Authority is the positional power and rights bestowed with a particular office that permits a lawful appointment to use certain powers to enforce certain commands and rules. |
