If it be that I find myself in debt,
I shall not curse your name Oh Lord.

For you gave me first the opportunity
And you gave the chance to make my way.

Rather, I shall rejoice your name and sing your praises.
For in every challenge, I see is character
In every difficulty I see your plan.

If then I find myself in debt and certain poverty,
I shall merely ask for your compassion and for the forgiveness of any whom I have hurt.
That I might be given the chance to make amends.
That I might be blessed with the opportunity of redemption by your grace.
That I shall be humble before you God in the presence of your love.
